Intercultural Mentoring

As of now, the registration form for mentors in the winter term program is online.

As a mentor in our program you will welcome and help new international students beginning this October with questions they might have about their studies.

You will accompany and support them at the beginning of their studies on a personal, professional, and social basis. Share your own experiences as a student with your mentee(s).

Both mentors and mentees will meet at regular intervals over the period of one semester to discuss subject-specific topics and to develop your intercultural competences. These meetings will be held according to your own preference.

Intercultural Mentoring is initiated by the Student Mentoring Competence Network which intensively supports you with a get-together of mentors at the beginning and a kick-off event to establish the contact to your mentee(s) and to start the mentoring relationship.  At the end of the mentoring relationship you will receive a certificate for successful participation.
