Become an ICM Mentor

Interested in supporting international students? Join ICM as a mentor! We will be recruiting mentors for the next round in Summer Semester 2025. So mark your calenders!

As a mentor, you'll guide international students (mentees) across various degree programs using your personal student experiences.

Who can be a mentor?

German and international students from all faculties who are entering their second or higher semester of study can be a mentor.

Requirements for mentors

  • At least four face-to-face meetings with your mentees within a semester.
  • Attend the mentor workshop, kick-off event, and closing event.
  • Reach out to mentees once a week electronically or by other means (in addition to the required face-to-face meetings)
  • Be reliable and on time when meeting with your mentee
  • Be open to share your cultural experiences with others
  • Complete the final reflection at the end of the semester
