Become an ICM Mentor
Interested in supporting international students? Join us as a mentor! We're now recruiting mentors for the winter term of 2024/25. If you're keen on becoming an ICM mentor next semester, simply fill out the registration form, and we'll be in touch!
As a mentor, you'll guide international students (mentees) across various degree programs using your personal student experiences. Matching begins October 2024. During the summer semester, you can join our social events to meet fellow ICM participants. Plus, we'll offer a mentor workshop to support you in your role.
Who can be a mentor?
German and international students from all faculties who are entering their second or higher semester of study can be a mentor.

Requirements for mentors
- At least four face-to-face meetings with your mentees within a semester
- Attend the mentor workshop, kick-off event, and closing event.
- Reach out to mentees once a week electronically or by other means (in addition to the required face-to-face meetings)
- Be reliable and on time when meeting with your mentee
- Be open to share your cultural experiences with others
- Complete the final reflection at the end of the semester
